"For We Can Get Them For You Wholesale... Good Luck and thanks to all of you. Great acting and well done, Jude."
"Prest's direction shows the kind of confidence and sure-handedness that should translate easily into feature films and episodic television."
"With Gaiman's blessing and assistance, Jude Gerard Prest has adapted the story "We Can Get them For You Wholesale" into a truly unique and visually impressive piece. It's funny, it's creepy, and it makes you think. This is a short film and director that shows real promise."
"Jude Prest's short film adaptation of Neil Gaiman's short story: "We Can Get Them For You Wholesale" is a fun ride of how we in society can be shortsighted. With a nice touch on performances and creative use of the camera, Jude took the story and adeptly used humor and drama to illuminate the human nature of being frugal. Since I know Jude had a limited budget and a few days to film, I was impressed on how he created interesting sets and locations, used visual effects and cast impressive actors. He adeptly weaved the arc of Daniel Roebuck to culminate in an apocalyptic ending! This film shows Jude’s ability to direct a project that has quality production and intricate storytelling."
"Despite Brian Howe's involvement, I agreed to join the cast of...
No, I'm just kidding. I have wanted to work with Jude for a long time as I have always admired his work. Collaborating once more with one of my favorite actors (yes, that Brian Howe) was the icing on the cake! This was a great and fulfilling experience thanks to the talents of Jude Gerard Prest and the rest of his wonderful cast and crew. There is no doubt that Mr. Prest is a director about whom we will be hearing great things in the future."
"Normally, I would have said no. Normally, I would have passed or found an excuse to be busy or out of town. A mutual friend recommended me and after talking with Jude and getting his assurances that the film would be completed in one weekend, for some reason I relented. I could not have imagined or wished for a better experience. I was amazed and impressed with Jude's ability to know what he wants, how to get it, who to hire, how to treat his people and keep his word. He communicated impeccably and clearly which really helped move things along. But he also listened and appreciated input from anyone willing to help. The experience was great and the final product is something I can point to and feel proud of. Thanks, Jude. Job very well done. Don't forget me when you go big."
